Is There Any Possibility For Pregnancy? How To Prevent It?

Hello doctor! Last night me and my husband had an intercourse. We didnt use any condom and im not taking contraceptive pills. My period starts last jan.3, 2014 and ends jan. 12th. Is there any possibility that I get pregnant? And what will I do to prevent it. Thank you
