Is There Any Medication Other Than Morphine For Chronic Pancreatitis?
my daughter has chronic pancreatitis so comes the chronic pain. She has been living with the pain for the past few years and goes to a pain mgt doctor who prescribes 60 mg morphine 3 times a day. She doesn't always have to take all 3 pills everyday but most days. Is there something more than morphine that would help her and be better for her.Sometimes we end up a the er because the morphine wont help the pain
If the pain doesn't go down with morphine then ketorolac (NSAID) might be given. It is very powerful analgesic and is given intravenously. You may consult your treating doctor about surgical nerve block to relieve intense pain.
Do consider a positive feedback as a credit to my work. Let me know if you have any further questions.
