Is There Any Low Na Bowel Prep Solutions Available?

Are there any new bowel prep solutions available that are lower in Na? My last colonoscopy was Jan.2011. Prep solution caused by blood pressure to go up, 200/114 appx. Is there a solution lower in Na that my gastroenterologist can prescribe? Thanks, Doug

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
There are many options which do not have much sodium load.
You can try Lactulose preparation or polyethylene glycol called Laxopeg in suitable doses your gastroenterologist will know.
You may be having undetected hypertension, better check blood pressure during interval time to diagnose or rule it out.
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.
Take Care!
