Is There Any Drug Interaction Between Prolia And Organic Calcium?

I am a 60 year-old female and post-menopausal. I am considering Prolia treatment for osteoporosis. I wondered if it would be helpful to supplement the Prolia Therapy with an Organic Calcium, such as EZ-Zorb (Calcium Aspartate Anhydrous) or True Osteo (Algae Calcium), as these are said to be more bioavailable, providing better absorption. I was concerned about any drug interaction between the Prolia and the Organic Calcium. Thanks for your feedback.

Hi, You are on denosumab(prolia) a monoclonal antibody(drug) that inactivates calcium destroying cells in your body.
In other means the calcium level in your bone will be maintained, and thus effectively prevents osteoporosis(bone erosion)
Important point to note is as this help to maintain calcium level in bones and not in blood, hence calcium supplementation is a must (not an add on).
i would suggest
1) To take calcium supplement along with vitamin D.
2) consult your physician and get checked your serum calcium level, and titrate the dosage as needed.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
