Is There A Need To Meet A Doctor For Having Large, Red Spot On Inside Of Lower Eyelid?

My son has a large red spot inside of his lower eyelid. It doesn't itch and it's not painful, but has been there for at least two weeks. It hasn't changed at all and doesn't produce any discharge. His lower eyelid looks puffy from the outside.
Is this something that needs medical attention?

Hello
It seems from the history that your son is probably having ecchymosis with sub conjunctival hemorrhage of the lower eye lid and lower portion of the eye.
This is usually self limiting condition and it will resolve over 3-4 weeks.
Applying cold compression can speed the recovery.
Thank you
