Is There A Chance Of Reaction If Curamed Is Taken Along With Levothyroxine?
my husband takes 125mcg of levothyroxine. He also has arthritis and has been taking advil for a couple years once a day. Recently developed nasal polyps that were bleeding and I told him to stop the advil as it thins the blood. Now the arthritis pain is worse and his joints hurt constantly. A friend takes CuraMed curcumin and advises how much it helps with joint pain as she can not take asprin/advil/etc. Wondering if any known bad interaction with levothyroxine.

As a doctor working on integrative medicine and having studied pharmacology, it is my opinion that there should not be any significant interaction between Curamed curcumin and levothyroxine.
However, since most of the alternative medicines aren't standardized, it would be advisable to get a Thyroid hormone level done atleast 15 days after you begin using both drugs together.
