Is The Weight Of My Baby Normal At 35th Week Of Pregnancy ?

Hi, I am now in 35 weeks pregnanct. On the last day of my 35th week we have done sonogram and found that baby s weight is 1924 gms. Please let me know if this much weight at this stage is fine and how will it increase till delivery. Doctor told that water level is adequate. also I am completeing 40 weeks on 17th Dec as per my LMP which was 12 Mar 2011. sonography reports says my EDD is 6 jan 2012. Please assist with all my querries and what care should i take now

At this stage (going into week 36), your baby is around 45-48cm, and 2.5-2.7kg on average. It won't increase too much by delivery time, and yes your doctor is correct, the level is perfectly adequate. As of now, it sounds like you're going to have a very easy and wonderful birth of a healthy child. You can start expecting some minor contractions, as well as kicking in the upper pelvic region. As far as January 6th, 2012, I would expect a sooner due date. I can't tell because I can't see the charts, but if week 40 is December 17th you should expect a Christmas or New years baby!
