Hi I have report of my thyroid ultrasound and neck My isthmus measure 4.5 mm. Right lobe measure 4.9/1.6/2.1 cm. left lobe measure 4.3/1.6/1.8 cm. Thyroid parenchyma is diffusely heterogeneous with scattered small nodules. Dominant nodule in the isthmus measure 1.0/0.6/1.2cm. Additional nodules measure 4-5 mm. No significantly enlarged lymph node is seen Impression: diffusely heterogeneous thyroid gland. Pls tell me what can I do? It is normal or no?
Hi dear From your usg report it seems that you have an enlarged thyroid gland with some nodules and heterogenous areas. I will recommed an FNAC(fine needle aspiration cytology) examination to reach the correct diagnosis of your condition.
