Is The Infant Having Loose Motions, Copious And Lactose Enzyme Deficiency A Recurrent Infection ?

Dear doctor,i would like to know that my baby almost 8 months 20 days old is having loose motions, copious, passed 6 times in last 24 hours, she is also having lactose enzyme deficiency as well. She is on lactose free milk as of today while she was on alternate feeds of lactose free milk and hipp(organic) milk.2weeks back she had viral tonsillitis with loose motions, resulting in weight loss as well of almost 200 gms(current weight 9.8kg) from which she recovered after 7 days of viral cycle which was assumed to be rotavirus even though she got on booster inj from pakistan(currently living in saudi arabia since her birth). My concern is our primary doctor here tells us that it could be recurrent rotavirus infection, and adviced us to put her on only lactose free milk with one dose of kepatin syrup for motion control. Is this recurrent infection?or is it due to teething(also my baby has been rubbing her hands, lower lips on her jaws noted since two days but no teeth yet)

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi Dear
Welcome to the HCM
Teething starts from the age of 6 months and will continue to occur till the age of 6 years. Teething itself do not cause any infection but because there is lot of irritation in the gums, children do put there unclean infected fingers in there mouth. Which is the usual cause of recurrent loose motions ( viral or bacterial).
This should be treated accordingly. And hand to mouth hygiene to be maintained for recurrences
Hope the query is answered.
Thanks
