Is Taking Gelusil Recommended During Pregnancy?

Hi, I'm 28 yrs old in 25th week of pregnancy. This is my second pregnancy and I have a 4.5 yr old boy already. Sometimes, I have severe acidity which leads to sudden sweating, head ache, nausea leading to giddiness. Can I take Gelusil Chewable tablets in such conditions or any other food that would help me relax or any other medicine? Please suggest how safe is Gelusil.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Gelusil is safe to take in pregnancy.
For recurrent heartburn in pregnancy, you should avoid eating spicy food, do not rest immediately after having meals, and sleep or rest with the head end of the bed elevated.
You can also take antacids tablets like ranitidine to get relief.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
