Is Taking Levonorgestrel Effective In Preventing Unwanted Pregnancy?

My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex and i did not ejaculate inside her but we both thought of getting some contraceptive which is named Xtivor levonorgestrel just to avoid any future surprises and she took the two pills at the same time...what happens to her and i want to know whether the drug is still going to take effect

Hi, I think she should take 2 pills again after 12 hours of first dose for pills to work. She can have bleeding after taking emergency pill. It is a frequent side effect. If her periods get delayed, do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy first. Periods can also get delayed due to effect of emergency pill. Hope it helps.
