Is Taking Azithromycin Safe For HPV?
I was raped and contracted HPV. Not even 24hours after I was raped I was admitted to the hospital and went through a rape kit and was given anitbiotics and a shot. Now it s been 2 months and I have hpv on my cervix with no symptoms. Can you give me more information about HPV? If it clears up will I still have to worry about giving it to my future partner? Will it affect my future children? Is it for life? I ve been told that it s not cancerous and very minor. My doctor also gave me azithromycin just in case.

Azithromycin is an antibiotic, HPV is a virus so it would not , unfortunately be treated or respond to an antibiotic.
It would only respond to an antiviral or other therapy if needed.
It is possible that the azithromycin was used to treat other sexually transmitted infections.
It is used to treat chlamydia.
