Is Surgery Necessary To Remove Fibroids In The Uterus?

I have a very bulky uterus with multiple fibroids with one fibroid of 14mm and rest are small..... i do not have any other problems at all.... normal bleeding and i am 49 years old... regular periods on time each month.... only my stomach is becoming bigger... now i am on the verge of menopause, do i have to remove my uterus.... if i don t what are the consequences of it....
