yes, i have not had a period since april 5th,2012. i am 51 and had irregular cycles the last 4 yrs. 2 yrs ago bloodwork indicated that i was edging into menopause. so 4 days ago i started spotting very lightly and now it stopped....should i be concerned?
Postmenopausal bleeding, whether it is spotting or bleeding should be evaluated. You need to take a pelvic scan to know the size of the uterus and the endometrial thickness. If the endometrium is thickened then we need to take a biopsy of the tissue to know the cause. Kindly consult a near by physician. If there is spotting on and off, it needs a gynecologist consultation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
