Is Severe Bleeding Common Post Medical Abortion ?
I had a medical abortion 6 weeks ago. I got my ultrasound done and it showed a cyst on one of the ovaries. My doctor put me on birth control and said it would help the bleeding stop, help the cyst to go away and bring back my normal cycle. Its been 6 weeks and the bleeding has not stopped completely. Should I be worried?

Is this correct you have taken the birth control pills for 6 weeks or you started just now 6 weeks after the abortion? it is common to have break thru bleeding in the first 2to 3 months of taking the pills. Wait for 2 moths , then a follow uo ultasound can be done to determine further.
