Is Rapid Heart Rate And Tingling Sensation In Arms A Result Of Panic Attacks In A Child?

Hello, my 10 year old daughter reported to me that during warm-up in karate class her heart started beating very quickly and she felt very tired suddenly. She said that a short while later she felt tingling in both her arms. The fast heart rate lasted a short time, the arm tingling longer (no more than half an hour because it was a 40 minute class). She did receive some upsetting news yesterday (her best friend is moving away) and I m wondering if these symptoms could reflect a stress response, a panic attack or possibly something more serious. Should I wait and see if it happens again or have her checked out? Thank you.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe it may be due to the psychological upset of the news she heard.
But you should be cautious of her health,as if it is repeated, it may become continuous, or if there is some structural cause,it may be trouble some.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
Avoid giving her potato, other tubers, tomato, egg, chicken, and sea foods, till the pains are completely cleared.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
