General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
I understand your concern.
To start with please understand, that an emergency contraceptive prevents pregnancy, if taken within 72 hours of sex.
Raised HCG along with an empty uterus indicates possibility of ectopic pregnancy.. which is mostly noted bu tv sonography.
Raised HCG takes few days to revert back to normal after an abortion.
SO your retained products of conception declare it to be pregnancy being terminated, but products of conception retained inside. You needs evacuation of uterus to remove them as early as possible. Please consult your obstetrician for necessary management.
thanks.
