Is Postmenopausal Bleeding A Sign Of Uterine Cancer?
I am 57 years old and have had no periods for about 30months. About 2 weeks ago I noticed nipple tenderness and vaginal mucous discharge (thick but clear - like normal ovulation) and this morning some blood spotting (very light) and mild cramps - like a normal light period. Is this possible? I have read bleeding after menopause is a possible sign of cancer, but is this type of bleeding accompanied by the other premenstrual signs I have had? Thanks.

It can be a sign of uterine causes like uterine cancer. However, in most cases it is caused by endometrial hyperplasia or dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
Consult a gynecologist and get evaluated. An ultrasound scan is required as a preliminary investigation.
If there is something abnormal in the ultrasound, a DnC may be required to get a tissue diagnosis.
