Is Pink Discharge With Glob Of Mucus With Constipation Normal During Pregnancy?

I am 32 and 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant having already had one succesful pregnancy. On wednesday when i went to the loo, there was a pink stain in some discharge when i wiped. And a few hrs later i had what i can only describe as what looked like a glob of mucas. Again on friday i had the same pink staining in discharge and again a little tonight. I am constipated and constantly feel like i need the toilet and am experiencing period like pains that i dont know whether they are because of the constipation or just things stretching and growing. Im really worried something is going wrong and am not due for a scan for another 5 weeks.

Hi,
In the current scenario, it becomes mandatory to isolate the source of the staining. It should be identified whether this spotting is from the vagina or the anal sphincter, possibly due to some tear. Please take absolute bed rest until the spotting subsides and the cause is identified and abstain from further intercourse. Do not exert. Please take plenty of liquids, fresh fruits and vegetables to relieve constipation. Laxatives cannot be used in such a situation. It is possible for some amount of pain to be felt as the supporting ligaments of the uterus stretch. Please see your consultant for further help. Take care.
