Is Niftas Safe To Treat UTI?
Hello Thanks for query .Your father who is known to have diabetic nephropathy has been detected to have UTI due to E-Coli organisms . The culture and sensitivity test must have mentioned the sensitivity pattern of organisms . Nitrofurantoin (Niftas ) and Ciprofloxacin both are prescribed in UTI .There is nothing like which one is better out of these two . You need to give him appropriate antibiotic as per culture report to control infection . Dr.Patil.
