Hi,

Nordette contains ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestel which acts as an emergency contraceptive pill (ECP) is used to prevent unwanted pregnancy by working mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during menstrual cycle. It contains high doses of hormones and will give you side effects. Its side effects are nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, headache, mood swings, missed periods, stomach cramps, GIT upset, allergic reactions etc. In case of any doubt, urine for pregnancy test can help to exclude pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
