Is Medical Termination Of Pregnancy Safe?

hi my period is missed for two days and i got a home pregnancy kiy for the test and the test it shows is two pink lines so today i go to a hospital and have a test and the result is positive so i want to know how old the baby is and the doctor see it by altra sound but there is noting can see and he told me its early and now i cant have this baby so i wan write me your to abort and he told me that he will give me an abort pill soo do you think it will be effective and have no side effect? please i am so worried write me tour advice quickly thank you.

Understand your concern
Appreciate your health practice to consult the gynecologist for termination of pregnancy. Abortion pill is safe and effective if it is used after getting opinion and under supervision. You already done USG that confirm the intrauterine pregnancy and gestational age of pregnancy (safe up to 9 week of age). By procedure Mifepristone 600 mg orally should be followed by misoprostol 800 ug vaginally/orally after 24 hour, if no bleeding another two dose should be put by gynecologist after every 6 hour under supervision. Follow up USG should be done after 14 days to know the completeness of abortion process/incomplete abortion. It cause minor side effects like headache, abdominal cramp, diarrhea, nausea, tiredness.
Consult the gynecologist if following side effects: excessive bleeding (> 2 pads/hour for 2 consecutive hour), bleeding more than 7 days, fever, severe abdominal pain, foul smell vaginal discharge.
