Is Lower Right Discomfort And Soreness Sign Of Pregnancy?
Hey,
I'm a woman and I have soreness, not pain on my lower right of the abdomen. Last week I thought I might have been pregnant. But not sure because I had my period a few days early (normal blood flow). And I took a test 4 weeks after my previous period and it came out negative. So I ruled it out and thought I'd take another test this week. But now I've been having slight discomfort in my lower right side. I know I pushed hard on this area before and I might have bruised it. I don't want to be pregnant right now. Is this discomfort in my head or could I still be pregnant or did I hurt myself from pushing on that side too hard?
Hi there, After going through your question, I am of the opinion that: 1) You might not be pregnant as you had your periods and also a negative pregnancy test. 2) Also, lower right discomfort and soreness is not a sign of pregnancy. 3) However, lower abdomen soreness or pain could be due to a variety of reasons like appendicitis, muscle pull, kidney stone, enteritis, ovarian cyst rupture/torsion, soft tissue injury etc. 4) My suggestion is that you take an analgesic like paracetamol and see if the pain goes away as it is mild. 5) In case pain increases/persists, please visit the ER and get it investigated.
Hope this was helpful. Regards, Dr. Shikha Shah
