Is Loss Of Vision Post An Eye Trauma A Serious Concern?
Four months ago My daughter hit her eye in the corner of the glass table. She cried and had a little like blur but we test her eye at home, maybe not like we should but it was looking to us ok. She seemed like she could see with the eye.and that was what she said. Today she had a eye test and she could not see with that eye. Doctor referred us to another doctor and we have to wait. Can you tell me what she has? And can the doctor help her?
partial or complete loss of vision may occur due to trauma .blunt trauma causes traumatic optic neuropathy or traumatic avulsion of optic nerve. other reason could be traumatic retinal detatchment. since there is no pain and redness corneal injury is ruled out. thorough examination of eye is required . imaging studies( CT or MRI )may be required depending on eye examination treatment depends on cause of loss of vision so right now difficult to say whether dr can treat or not hope this helps. any further queries are welcome
