i'm a 25yr old female, i have taken the cilest contraceptive pill for 9 months now, i decided to miss my 7 pill free week due to going away, everything was fine until yesterday morning when i had a bleed, it was minimal and i assumed it was just a blip due to carrying on taking the pill, i now have no bleeding but a light brown discharge which again is minimal. i carried on taking the pill and have 3 pills left in my pack until my 7 pill free week.

i have had unprotect sex with my long term partner during these 2 months. i have not missed any pills in this time and take at the same time every day. when i had the bleed to put my mind at ease i took a pregnancy test - which was negative.

should i be concerned, or is this just my body saying it's due for a period?
