Is Less Bleeding After Dilation And Curettage Abnormal?

I had been pregnant for two months and had D&c last thursday as the embryo stopped developing. After d&c I had little bleeding like in periods but from the next day there are no any bleeding. I am also feeling gastric kind and little abdominal cramps but no severe. I was told by my frens that it is necessary to bleed atleast 4 days after the D&C. Is it normal if no bleeding. Also when can I resume my work?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. If, during the process of dilatation and curettage, most of the endometrial lining is cleared, there may not be much bleeding after the procedure. It is not necessary to bleed for a stipulated time. You can resume you work after a couple of weeks. You need to abstain from stress for at least a week and this includes sexual intercourse. The abdominal cramps are likely to be due to uterine involution. Please get a follow up sonogram to ensure completion of the process. Hope this helps.
