Is Laryngitis Contagious?

I just met someone who has Laryngitis .I shook her hands and talked to her while she was in the car and I was standing outside by the car door. I have also had a hepatitis b shot this morning. My throat is sore. Is Laryngitis contagious, or is this reaction of Hepatitis B shot. I am travelling and concerned.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Viral infections do spread easily.
Hepatitis B shot would not create such problem.
If you have sore throat then you can take a anti inflammatory medicine. It should be better by a single drug . If not then you would require to take antibiotic .
Travelling will not cause problem just try to avoid any anti histaminic as they do have a side effect of sedation .
In doubt do reply.
