Is Large Montgomery Glands Signs Of Breast Cancer?

Hi, I have had large-ish Montgomery glands for quite some time, particuarly on the right side. I used to try to make them smaller by squeezing them rather frequently, which of course made them bigger. I have 6 or 7 fairly large prominent ones on my right breast. Am getting checked tomorrow, but in the meantime should I worry? Are several large Montgomery glands a possible or likely sign of breast cancer?

Hello,

It is not a sign of breast cancer. It can be a sign of hormonal changes, it is seen in pregnancy as well. You can go for an ultrasound scan to rule out any non palpable lump just for reassurance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
