Is It To Be Concerned About The Head After A Hit Causing Headache?

I banged the top of my head on a metal beam of my bunk bed when standing up. It doesn t to have a lump although I have had an infrequent mild headache initially on a scale of 1-10 I would say it was a 4 or 5 after 4 hours it seems to have stopped during that time the pain was around a 1-2 on the 1-10 pain scale. I have had no other symptoms such as nausea and sickness. Is it safe for me to sleep? Do I have a concussion?

Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.It is not clear with your description whether you developed a lump after hitting your head on the metal beam.Anyway,even if there is a lump,the points which indicates that it was not a serious injury or concussion are that you did not suffer from any clouding of consciousness after the injury.Mild headache is obvious to happen,but it is not accompanied with nausea,vomiting,vision abnormality or drowsiness, indicates that it is nothing major.You are safe.I hope it helps.
