Is It Safe To Use Melanorm Ms For Long Term?
Hello doctor!! I am 32 years old female suffering from cystic acne and pigmentation on my cheeks, nose and upper lip . I have been using melanorm ms for a more than a year now.. Is it safe. The marks are camouflaged as of now but reccur wen I stop application.. Please advice

It is not safe to use it for long term.Melanorm MS which acts as a skin-bleaching agent and is commonly prescribed to treat hyperpigmentation of the skin associated with acne and other conditions.
It contains a potent steroid (mometasone) use of which may cause thinning of the skin, telengiactasias (prominent blood vessels in the skin), infection and abnormal facial hair growth on long term.
It also contains tretinoin use of which may be harmful during pregnancy. I suggest you to use kojic acid or glycolic acid containing creams for the effective treatment of skin hyperpigmentation.
