Is It Safe To Use Dolo 650 During Pregnancy?

Hi,

I'm pregnant, 3rd month going on. I had seviour left hand pain since yesterday evening due to strees and lifting of heavy thing in home.

In the early morning I took one pain killer, but the pain is not gone completely, some what reduced. My Gynic suggested me to take Dolo 650. Is that good to take or I should bear the pain?

I understand your concern and I will do everything I can to answer your question.

Dolo 650 is paracetamol (also known as Tylenol) and is used safely throughout pregnancy. From what you are describing (pain on one side, mostly in the hand or wrist, triggered by lifting) you may have an annoying condition called carpel tunnel syndrome ( I say annoying because it is common, usually not serious, typically goes away after the baby is born and only very rarely needs surgery or therapy) which can be treated with a neutral position wrist splint. Most pharmacies sell these splints, they work great if you wear them at night or when you have to lift anything Give it a try and let your doctor know when you see them next.

I hope that helps and best of luck to you
