Hi,I am 24yrs,70kg,151cm,33 weeks pregnant. As if now doctor said everything is fine.I am planning to travel by train(14 hrs night journey) at 35th week.Is it fine? Will the jerks in train affect? Is travelling by flight safer than train? Will the pressure variantions in flight affect?
Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion long journeys are usually advised in 2 nd trimester ie.,between13 -28 weeks.Flight journey is preferable to train. There will be no effects of pressure on pregnancy in air journey. But usually air journey is allowed upto 32 weeks. So as you are 34 weeks if they allow flight journey is safe.Otherwise if there are no symptoms like pain abdomen or backache till now we can take chances to go in train.Otherwise it's better to avoid journey.I suggest you to take the opinion of your consultant because he or she will take the decision after examining you.
