Is It Safe To Take Utrogestan During Pregnancy?

Hi i am 35 weeks pregnant. I was having mild contractions so was admitted in hospital. The doctor stopped the contractions and gave me shots to improve baby lungs. Also my crp levels were high n treated that with an antibiotic She now discharged me but gave me utrogestan to take. Is this safe? When will i give birth than?

Utrogesten is a brand name of progesterone and there is nothing wrong in taking utrogesten now and it won’t produce any adverse reactions and it won’t harm your baby.
Actually it can helps to make your cervix ready for delivery. If the contractions are adequate and you are in labour pain, you will be delivered soon.
Your gynaecologist will explain further.
