Is It Safe To Take Crocin And Betnesol During Pregnancy?

I m pregnent 14 weeks nd its my first pregnancy i have fever last night nd vomitt when i told my dr she advise me to take 1 crosin nd 1 betnesol .iwant to ask it is safe for me i have 3-4 miscarriage because of infection but i have take treatment.plz tell me can i take these tablets

Hi,
I understand your concern.
- General rule for pregnancy is to avoid unnecessary medication.
-Crosin also has caffine added for pain relief, it's not needed in your case.
- Betnasol can be given in pregnancy in serious illness , in tapering dosage.BUt considering effect of fever on pregnancy a single dose can be taken till you see your doctor.
* You can take plain paracetamol tablet for controlling fever after food ( not on empty stomach ) The continuation of betnesol & antibiotic should be administered after physical examination by your doctor.
* In case you had 3-4 miscarriages in past- it's better to start Progesteron hormone supplement. Take Duphaston 10 mg twice a day along with paracetamol . The supplementation is to be continued as per your doctor's advise.
