Is It Safe To Take Betnesol Injection At The Time Of Pregnancy?

I am 29 weeks..i had an betnesol injection(12mg*2 days)..is it safe for the fetus.... Also we were told tha the scanning reveals the AFI at 6-7 & placenta is anterior with Grade II

I am under constant monitoring by our doc. Suggest additional inputs if any

Hi,thanks for writing..
Since you are only 29 weeks and has a low AFI, betnesol should be taken for fetal lung maturity. Proper rest in left lateral position, high protein diet, take lots of water, Intake of fruits and vegetables. Aminoinfusion for 5 days can also help to increase AFI to an extent. Constant monitoring with scan and doppler is necessary. Hope I have answered your query. Good day..
