Is It Safe To Take Antihistamines While Suffering From Urticaria And Being A Coeliac?

Hi I am coeliac and on a strict gluten free diet. I have also had urticaria for years. Even a drink of lemon juice in the morning will make me itchy straight away. msg causes problems too. Do I need to take antihistamines? In Spring I seem to be worse. After eating chocolate & sugary products I get itchy hives.My doctor told me to stay off carbohydrates but it is very hard.Thanks
