Is It Safe To Take 500mcg Dose Of Biotin Regularly?

Someone asked this already but the answer didn t make reference to the dosage. I wanted to check if a 5000mcg dose of Biotin daily is safe to take during pregnancy (in addition to prenatal vitamins with no Biotin). Is 5000mcg too much? I m in my 7th week of pregnancy.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Yes, 5000 mcg should be a safe dosage but I would only advise you to take this dosage on prescription from your caring doctor. The usual dosage lrescribed during pregnancy is 1000 mcg, and so a higer dosage should only be prescribed by a doctor.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
