Is It Safe To Do Skipping During Pregnancy?

I am about 4 weeks pregnant. I have been doing skip rope for the last 4 years, at least 4 times a week. I skip for about 20 mins and I usually do between 2000 and 3000 skips each sesh. Is it safe for me to carry on skipping during the 1st trimester? Would it affect my baby and uterus? Thanks.

I understand your query & concern.
No dear, you should not continue with skipping in pregnancy.Not at all at your present state of 4 weeks pregnancy- for baby is yet to settle in uterus it's connection with mother's womb is delicate, placenta is yet to be formed... In such condition any vigorous physical activity is like to cause bleeding & some times pregnancy loss.
- Even after 3 months, skipping is not recommended as an exercise in pregnancy. You can add walking with moderate pace, yoga exercises, swimming with care under an expert guidance... after 4 months are complete.
