Is It Possible To Conceive Despite Having Uterine Fibroid?

Hi Doc, on recent visit to the doctor for irregular bleeding was told i have a uterine fibroid about (1cm) and a cyst on my left ovary (2cm). My doc prescribed microgynon after. I ve suffered with irregular periods since i was a teen and only conceived my son using clomid. At 32 its my first time using contraceptive and i hate it. My husband and i had already planned on trying to conceive baby #2 asap and now this. Can we still try to conceive with the fibroid and cyst or is recommended to treat the problem before conceiving? Should i remain on the contraceptive or get a 2nd opinion and what is the best treatment for my case?

Welcome to HCM,
i Read your query carefully.
as per details there is a small uterine fibroid and an ovarian cyst. Yes you can concieve in this condition.
It does not interfere with pregnancy.
Ovarian cyst will regress itself but you should go for follow up Ultrasounds.
And firbroid is of only when 1cm in size which can be treated conservatively after pregnancy like Gonadotrophin Releasibg Hormones.
But the main problem is your Irregular cycle. For conception you may need ovulation induction with Clomiphen. As you told your first pregnancy was with Clomid.
Now you should go for Ultrasound and then consult with your Gynaecologist.
