Hi,
decreased milk secretion is a common problem nowadays faced by women undergone cesarean section.
The causes told are,
1. if large amount of blood loss was there during cesarean section it can cause decreased milk production called sheehan's syndrome.
2. if bits of placenta remain in the uterus it also said to decrease the milk secretion.
other causes are presence of retracted or inverted nipples,
taking antiallergents or sometimes analgesics,
mother having severe hypertension or diabetes during pregnancy, any mental stress mother having also said to decrease milk secretion.
taking good nutritious food, continuously trying to feed the baby, continuing lactogen granules can increase the milk secretion.
Don't get depressed continue bottle feeds till you get sufficient milk but maintain strict hygiene to avoid complications.
take care

hello,

Breast milk is the best for the new born.

Don't lose hope so soon... i think you had been very apprehensive.. it generally happens in the first pregnancy that too a Cesarean section that the mother starts lactation slowly with very less amount of milk.

you should continue trying to feed your baby. The sucking of the nipples by the baby is the best stimulus for starting the production of milk.

bottle fed baby finds it difficult to feed on breast, as he gets confused with the two different types of sucking provided to him.

better method for feeding the baby will be by well sterilized bowl and spoon , rather then bottle feeding the baby.

hope my advice is useful for you.
take care.
