Is It Normal To Have White Discharge During Pregnancy?

i have just turned 46, and after two rounds of IVF last year, June and October (which failed), I am 7 weeks pregnant, conceived naturally! Whilst I am delighted I am also terrified for obvious reasons. I am ok but have a slightly white, chalky discharge over the last 2-3 days. is this normal? Thanks!

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
White discharge is increased in pregnancy due to increased quantity of discharge from the cervix.
However, if the discharge is chalky and thick, vaginal candidiasis needs to be ruled out as it is also common in pregnancy.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including vaginal swab examination and treated accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
