Is It Normal To Have Dark Brown Spotting With Increasing HCG Count?

yesterday i have got a beta hgc test done , the count was 359..today again the beta HCG test was done and the count was 430..i have noticed some dark brown spotting today, is it okay to have such spots..my doctor has recommeded me to take sustain & get a Ultrasound done..please help
