Is It Normal To Have Bloody Mucus After Galbladder Surgery?

I have a 19 year old daughter who had galbladder surgery 4weeks ago. She has autism so it is hard for me to get answers to questions. She is going poop often at night and it is very mucusy and to night is is bloody mucus. Is this normal? Thanks Karen

Yes, this can be seen after cholecystectomy and may persist for few weeks since it may take time tile digestion stabilizes and usually this is self limiting and dont cause serious consequances. He should just have easier food, with less fats and sugar and it will be fine.
