Is It Normal To Have A Longer Period Than Usual?

I got my period on 2-2-14 (2-1-14 if you count the spotting). It lasted longer than average (about 8 days). Usually my period is about 4-5 days tops. My cycle has been averaging about 29- 30 days. When should I be expecting my next period, and could something be wrong? I've been cramping for a couple of days now but no spotting or anything?

hello and thank you for asking HCM,

I understand your concern. You didn't mention if you are sexually active, because than pregnancy could be one of the reasons. But there are a lot of other reasons which could lead to lead to your problem. Stress and other illnesess can also lead to missed period causing hormonal disbalance.
My suggestion is if there's a chance that you might actually be pregnant, rule out that possibility first. If not, than visit your GP if your period doesnt't arrive in a couple of weeks.

I hope this answer was helpful to you. But considering to your cramps it could arrive soon.
