Is It Good To Use Coconut Oil For Cooking Inspite Of My Atrial Fibrillation?

I Am on Coumadin for atrial fibrillation. Can I use cocanut oil in and on my food with no problems? I am 81 years old and have no notisable symptoms of fibrillation. Sometimes have shortness of breath when walking up hill. YYYY@YYYY

Hello! Thank you for asking on HCM! Regarding your concern, I would explain that: Yes! You may use it, no excessive amounts, BUT, always be careful to monitor your anti coagulation status periodically (INR test), and modulate Coumadin accordingly. Discuss with your doctor about your symptoms (shortness of breathing, etc), to possibly arrange better your treatment (see the possibility to use drugs that control better heart rate, and possible need of diuretics, etc).
