General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Irregular periods are quite common in the perimenopausal time. You can wait a couple of days for spontaneous recovery.

If bleeding persist better to consult a gynecologist and plan for an ultrasound to rule out conditions like endometrial thickening or malignancy even though it is unlikely.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
