Is It Common To Have Yellowish Fluid At The Site Of Metatarsal Fracture?
I had a index metatarsal fracture about ten weeks after arthoplasty to the basal joint of my thumb, just below the pin site. During the operation to repair the fracture, infection or yellow colored fluid was discovered on one side of the metatarsal weakening it and causing the fracture.

NO.
Infections are common when an implant was put in for fixation of fractures without super sterile conditions in the OR.
Visit your doctor immediately.
Best option will be to get the Implant extracted,get a thorough wound debridement done, use Antibiotics sensitive to the pus being that has been coming out and finally after good healing of wound has taken place, get the fracture fixed again....hopefully at a better Hospital.
