Is It Advisable To Take Cyclobenzaprine For Working People?

I am currently on cyclobenzaprine with a prescription. I take it at nighttime right before bed to help me sleep better due to I have a muscle strain that s also affecting my sciatic nerve. I am off work right now, but when I go back would I still be able to take this pill at night and operate under my cdl the next day. Would this drug show up on a dot drug test if I was pulled in for a random or god forbid an accident.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

This drug may make you dizzy or drowsy. Older adults may be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug, especially drowsiness, confusion, constipation, or trouble urinating. Drowsiness and confusion can increase the risk of falling. Visit your clinician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
