Is It OK To Use Romilast Regularly ?

Hi, I am here in Bangalore for last 2 and half year. For last 4/5 months, i am getting sneezing early morning. some times at midnight and it continues for the day, no fixed frequency.... but it really irritates me. I am a software engineer by profession. i went to china for 45 days and i did not have this sneezing problem at all there. I have consulted doctors already 2/3 times. I used Romilast 10 for 2/3 months. It used to work magically. but once i dont use for a day, again sneezing starts. Now after coming from China, Romilast-10 is not working for me. Whole day my nose will be blocked(mostly left nose), itchy eyes and sneezing many times a day. Please help.

You are having classical symptoms of Allergic Rhinitis. You need to be on a proper regimen which involves inhaled steroid medication, antihistamine medication as well. Firstly keep away from cold weather, you must keep warm. Keep away from smoke, dust, pollution, don;t go close to gardens. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Drink plenty of water. Do brisk walking everyday as it works wonders. Consult an ENT Doctor and get examined thoroughly and the appropriate treatment.

Hi Dr. Aashish Raghu,

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply.
As you mentioned, smoke, dust, any kind of foul smell, cold weather is bothering me most (from last few months). I went to one of the prominent hospitals of Bangalore and after two weeks medication they are advising Nasal surgery, saying my nasal cartilage moved left, but once i am am away from Bangalore, my blocking nose is no more. And yes, brisk walking helps me a lot i realized.

Your prompt reply is highly appreciated. Once again, thanks a ton for your great suggestions.

Hi Dr. Aashish Raghu,

But my deep concern is, if i move out of my current location (Bangalore), there is no such deviation in my nasal septum. Do you think still i need to go for surgery, please advice. Even in Bangalore(my current location), some times when there is no blocked nose, i don't see the deviation at all.

Hi Dr. Aashish Raghu,

I got answer to almost all my query. I am having some relief from the knowledge you shared with me. I just passed through your profile and found you to be from Bangalore itself. Please advice me where can i go for treatment. This is really important to me, so please suggest me some particular hospital.

I have had a similar condition for almost a year now. During summers there was no nose block. Rainy season is back and the nose block is back as well, when my nose is blocked and I walk or indulge in any physical activity I feel perfectly fine.
I have got blood tests, x-rays done. There is no deviation, doctors have also ruled out the deviation in the septum. I am currently taking homeopathic medicines but i don't feel any relief. Please suggest what to do?
