Hi my brother aged 17 years is having loose motion since last 3 days. He also for fever and a some abdominal pain. When for his blood tested. HB count is 4.5 also opinion suggests inflamed appendix. Please suggest is this serious problem? Right now doctor started transferring 1 unit of blood.
Well i am understanding your concern. Appendicitis is a medical emergency that require prompt surgery to remove appendix .so you should go for a treatment as soon as possible . left untreated , an inflamed appendix will eventually burst or perforate , spilling infectious material into the abdominal cavity . this can lead to peritonitis , a serious inflammation of the abdominal cavity linning that can be fatal unless it is treated quickly with strong antibiotics
